In Memory of Moki
Moe, a black Lab who was adopted in March, 2010, and renamed to Moki, was walking at the Hammond Park Reservation in Newton with his adoptive mom, Annie Cole, when they stepped on a live power line. Moki took the brunt of it and was killed instantly. It is a terrible loss to his adoptive family as well as to the volunteers at Save A Dog who rescued and loved him. "Moki was one of the most lovable dogs I have ever met", says Save A Dog founder, Shirley Moore. When the volunteers were visiting a rural shelter in West Virginia, Moki scaled a chain link fence just to greet them. He stole their hearts and came to Save A Dog to be adopted. "Moki was such a beautiful dog that he was chosen to grace our 2010 Holiday card", says Shirley. It is a tragic loss, but he lived life to the fullest and was a deeply loyal and affectionate dog to his family.

Moki, we will never forget you.
