 5th Annual Dog Walk Paws in the Park 2005

Last year's annual walk was a great success, proving that Paws in the Park is the place to be this summer! This year the walk will again be one of our major fundraising events. The event will be held outdoors, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Picnic Area in Bedford, MA, from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, June 12, 2005. We will start the day off with our group walk at 11am. The activities include an agility ring, demonstrations, parade of adoptable dogs, doggie games, face painting for the kids, a silent auction, raffles, food vendors and more. We also had over 50 dog rescue groups and commercial exhibitors in attendance last year.

The event will attract many people from the greater Boston and the Metro west area who have adopted from Save A Dog as well as people currently looking for a new dog companion and local dog owners enjoying a fun day out with their dogs! The event will be advertised on the internet as well as in many newspapers and on the radio stations that have chosen to sponsor us this year.

Every sponsor receives a 10 x 10 booth space at Paws in the Park (please bring a table and a pop-up tent), below is a listing of sponsor levels for you to choose from:

    Platinum ($1000): you will receive a whole page ad in the program, your name on the Paws in the Park Banner and T-Shirt, a link on our website, your name listed in the program and map, and an announcement at the event.

    Gold Sponsor ($500): you will receive 1/2 page ad in the program, your name on the Paws in the Park Banner, a link on our website, your name listed in the program and map, an announcement at the event.

    Silver Sponsor ($250): you will receive 1/4 page ad in the program, an announcement at the event, a link on our website, and your name listed in the program and map.

    Bronze Sponsor ($100): you will receive a listing in the program and map, an announcement at the event, and a link on our website.

    Sponsor ($50): You receive a booth space and a listing in the program, map and website.

Save A Dog is an all volunteer non-profit [501(c)3], all-breed dog rescue dedicated to saving homeless dogs and connecting them with forever homes. Since our inception in 1999 we have placed over 1800 dogs/puppies to wonderful families in the New England area. Save A Dog is thrilled to be able to host an event where dog lovers can have fun, while raising money to save the lives of homeless pets. We would be very pleased to have you as a sponsor this year!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • You will have a 10 x 10 space. PLEASE bring an EZ-up tent for shade - you will need it! Bring your own table/booth/chairs, etc; there is no electricity available on the field; electricity available ONLY at the Pavilion.
  • Sponsors/Vendors will be prominently placed between the Pavilion and our demonstration rings.
  • All vendors must pre-register; early birds who notify us by May 1st will be listed in our program.
  • Parking for vendors will be in the lot adjacent to the Pavillion.
  • Set up will start at 8:30 am, and all cars must be off the field by 9:30am.
  • Paws in the Park will end at 3:00 pm and no cars will be allowed on the field until 3:15pm.

DIRECTIONS: From Route 128 - Exit 31B for routes 4 and 225.

Follow the PAWS that will be posted along the way!

  • Stay on routes 4/225 through 4 traffic lights (less than 2 miles from exit to turn).
  • Turn right on Hillside Avenue, just after the Bedford Shopping Center (VA Hospital sign at)
  • Continue straight 1 mile north (Hillside Ave. becomes Springs Road), through the 4-way intersection with stop sign
  • Slow down - 20 mph limit strictly enforced!
  • Go past playing fields and enter the main parking lot on the right - just 1/4 mile after the stop sign.
  • Drive through the main parking lot and continue toward the golf course. At the T intersection turn left toward the Pavilion.
  • Volunteers, rescue groups and vendors will use the parking adjacent to the Pavilion.
