I've been working with Save A Dog since 2005 and I have witnessed countless miracles since then. From very sick pups being completely healed to less than sociable dogs being completely turned around and finding great homes all thanks to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in this amazing organization. I've worked countless hours at the shelter, transported many many dogs to the shelter am fostered literally hundreds of dogs and every dog I've had a hand in helping has found a wonderful forever home. I've traveled down south to the overpopulated shelters where they come from more than once and let me tell you the situation is dire these dogs need a chance at the attention they need to find a good home and its all made possible by everyone at Save A Dog. However we can't do it alone, rescuing dogs is not inexpensive- for all of you that think "gosh feeding my dog is expensive" or "these vet bills are killing me" (trust me I think those things all the time!!" Imagine multiplying that by 15-30 dogs! Save A Dog constantly has dogs in their shelter and in foster and the only way these dogs can get fed, vetting, bedding, leashes, collars, toys- everything they need and let's not forget the expense of keeping a roof over their head- yes that means rent, electricity, water ya know all the bills you pay at your house Save A Dog has too! And one more thing getting these dogs from the south to us is NOT free Save A Dog has to pay a transport fee for EVERY dog they rescue from out of state! We can't come up with those funds alone so that's why for the 10th year in a row I am walking in our annual Paws in the Park dog walk. I am asking you to please consider making a pledge- every little bit counts! Save A Dog can not do this alone it takes a village and SAD depends on the kind heartedness of good people like you to donate and help keep this rescue effort up and running.
