Sam, 5 years Male Rhodesian Ridgeback

Sam is a five year old Rhodesian Ridgeback whose family is moving to Europe and sadly could not take him. He was well cared for his entire life and kept up to take on heart worm preventatives and vaccines. He is not neutered, but we will do his surgery in the next week or so before he goes home. He is a big boy, 90 lbs, but will probably lose a few lbs when we switch him off the Beneful to a protein-based diet. He knows some commands, but is strong so will need a strong dog-savvy owner. He was raised with a one year old, but still we wouldn't want to put him in a houseful of small children as he came from a quiet household. He will be a loyal dog to whomever adopts him and it would be wonderful to find someone who knows this breed. He is available to be seen by appointment once we receive your application.
