Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On Sunday, May 22nd, 2011, my dog Tucker and I will be joining other animal lovers in the 11th annual dog walk Paws In The Park. We will be walking to support Save-A-Dog, an organization dedicated not only to saving the lives of dogs living on the street or in shelters, but to educating the public so that dogs who already have homes can have owners that are equipped to give them the best lives possible. Save-A-Dog rescues dogs that come from similar situations to my own rescue mutt, Tucker. His mother was found loose on the streets of TN, pregnant and forgotten by all but her faithful mate. She was pulled from a high kill shelter just in time to have her babies (Tucker and his brother) in the comfort of a foster home. While Tucker, his parents, and his brother are not Save-A-Dog rescues themselves, their story is just like so many of Save-A-Dogs alumni, victims of overpopulation in the rural south, and irresponsible ownership. The people doing all they can to help these dogs need our support to continue their fight to get and keep dogs in responsible, loving homes. Without organizations like this one dogs like Tucker would never have a chance at a loving home. This is why I ask that you donate whatever you can to support this cause.
