Why? Save a Dog is much more than a dog rescue to me; it is a second home and a community of friends. It is a place of learning and teaching, giving and receiving. Its mission is similar to that of many humane societies and shelters in the area: providing second chances and public education.

Save a Dog takes a step beyond the fundamentals specializing in holistic vetting, interstate rescue, non-public kenneling and fostering, thorough applicant screening, and monetary aid for low-income pet owners. Thousands of happy, healthy dogs have found permanent homes thanks to Save a Dog's compassionate volunteers, staff, and public support.
