Sonja came to Massachusetts from Indiana at the end of September 2016. Shortly after her arrival it was discovered that this sweet rescue dog was pregnant. On October 14th, Sonja delivered seven beautiful puppies and the fun began. Rusty, Muffin, Pixie, Smores, Shadow, Mocha and Luna started out as tiny babies who could rest in the palm of your hand and from there grew quickly. Their eyes opened, they started to hear, they learned to walk and they found their voices. Once Sonja was sure they were capable of fending for themselves, she decided to enjoy her new life. Like a big puppy she enjoyed long walks, running round in the back yard with her foster brothers, and getting up to mischief. She was a great mother and was never gone from her puppies for too long and would periodically go back and count them to make sure they were all there. When the time came, it wasn't hard to find Forever Families for these seven beautiful puppies and their mother. So this year we are going to Paws In The Park as "Team Sonja". Sonja, Rusty, Emma(aka. Muffin), Pixie, Milo (aka. Smores), Finn (aka.Shadow), Maggie (aka. Mocha), and Luna will be making the walk together and ask you to consider sponsoring us and supporting Save A Dog, in the hope of allowing many more rescue dogs to find their Furever homes.
