As you know, I continue to foster dogs who are looking for families that will shower them with love. Many pups and kittens come from Southern states and have never lived in a warm home. They are abandoned and thrown into dumpsters or left on the streets to scrounge for scraps of food. Some come from Amish puppy mills, mama dogs are used for breeding to sell off their puppies then we get the mother dogs when they are done breeding and have lived in a barn with horses. Save A Dog is a privately funded, all volunteer organization. Funds raised go directly to pay for dog and cat food, spay and neuters, other surgeries (one current pup has a bullet in its shoulder and needs alternative treatment).
