Dear Save A Dog Friends: On May 5th I will be volunteering at the 2013 Paws in the Park, a charity walk and outdoor festival with proceeds supporting Save A Dog.

Save A Dog is a 501c3 not-for-profit humane society that helps rescue and re-home abandoned dogs -– many who are in line at other shelters for euthanasia. Save A Dog has saved over 4000 dogs since 1999, now averaging over 400 adoptions a year! I have been a volunteer with this wonderful organization for more than 11 years, and we really do a great job at matching terrific dog to their new, forever homes. This year I am dedicating my volunteer work and fundraising efforts to my own adopted dog, Tavish, who passed away just one year ago at age 16.5. She found her forever home in my home and my heart.
