February 2001 Rescue

Save A Dog lab puppy enjoys a towel dry as other puppies get bathed at the Best Friends Pet Resort in Sudbury, Mass.

These puppies were found in a barn in a rural part of the country and came to us through the doggie underground rail road.

Save A Dog volunteer, Leslie Zelansky, who is also a trainer for Especially for Pets, gives one of the new pups some TLC. Puppies are Leslie's specialty and she told us, "I can never get tired of taking care of puppies, especially the rescued ones."
This large female pup looks bewildered in this picture, but she soon came out of her shell and was running around in the play room with the other puppies
The puppies enjoy a pile-up in the Best Friends play room.

This border terrier gets a blow dry to help his bad hair day

This adorable little Aussie mix is wondering why all the fuss over her when nobody cared before. She is going to be so spoiled!
Opal, the Aussie mix, was not thrilled with her bathtime, but she smelled so good afterwards.
Todd Lieberman, a Best Friends staff member, gets a kick out of holding one of our recent rescues.

Todd also videotaped the entire bath scene.

Pam Anderson and her daughter Polly make a great team as both enjoy bathing and fostering the rescued dogs.
