Caesar is a two year old Shepherd mix who was picked up as a stray and
sat in a shelter until his euthanasia date. At that time all heaven broke
loose and he was rescued through a concerted effort of many volunteers and
rescue workers. Now that we've had a chance to get to know him, we understand
why he was spared. This dog has personality. He knows obedience commands
and will perform them without fail -- as long as you have a treat in your
hand. We can't help but think that he must have been somebody's best friend
at one point in his life. Someone obviously spent the time to train him.
Also, he doesn't jump up as a rule, unless there's treats, but if you saw
how thin he is, you would understand why. For a large dog, he is terribly
thin, so we're putting him on a special program to "put some meat on his bones."
Caesar is one of those dogs who probably won't get a second look by many
people, but will make the right person a wonderful companion and best friend.
Because of his size, we'd love to see him go to a home with teenagers or an
adult home or maybe a single guy. He reminds you of the sort of dog you'd
see accompanying a carpenter or similarly traded person to work. He's just
a big friendly, lovable dog. If you know of anyone looking for a nice big
dog, who doesn't have internet access, please print out this page for them.
Caesar deserves a good home now.
