Sofia is a beautiful, friendly senior (8-9 yrs) German Shepherd girl. Smart, mellow, and sociable, she will make a wonderful companion. She gets along well with other dogs and loves people. When Sofia was rescued, she was in a very malnourished state and is still underweight at just 58 pounds. It's clear she had a home at one time, as she was spayed when rescued. She deserves a second chance to live the life she was meant to live -- as a loving, loyal member of the family. She had an ultrasound and some initial tests for Cushings. Her bloodwork looks good, X-rays good, but she has an adrenal gland tumor. Donations will help offset her vet expenses and surgery. Thankfully, her foster family is adopting her! She made the journey north, where she safely welcomed and lovingly raised seven beautiful puppies. Thanks to her devoted care, her babies have grown into happy, healthy pups and are beginning their own adventures. Now it's finally her turn. Goldie is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She loves being close to her people and happily soaks up all the attention you're willing to give.
