In Memorial of Buddy, formerly Tags

Precious Buddy, adopted by Diane Golden, has passed on. I'll never forget the day his family brought him to Save A Dog because they were moving. The husband asked if they should just put him down because he was older and had a skin condition. Buddy looked at Shirley with his big liquid eyes, pleading for his life. Shirley said, "No Way! We can take him." Thoughts about who would ever adopt him didn't last because once he got into his foster home with Sue Flaherty and started eating a good diet, he developed a spring in his step. In fact, Sue brought him by one day to show us how much energy he had. His coat filled in and he was a new dog. And then a big-hearted woman came to see him and they both fell in love. Diane Golden adopted this old boy and gave him quite the life. They came to all our events and at each event Buddy sported a new cap with a nice visor to keep the sun out of his eyes. 

Diane remembers him fondly. "I'll remember Buddy romping through the snow with his jacket on last winter.  He was just like a puppy, so happy and carefree.  Glad we could make his final years happy ones. I will try to live by Buddy's creedo - seize the day and live for the moment!!!  He was the best." Buddy, may you rest in peace.
