Close friends of Save A Dog, The Zelle family, recently lost their beloved dog Kirby. Their words are below:

Kirby passed away peacefully during the afternoon of September 11, 2019. 

Kirby led the Zelle’s to Save a Dog about fourteen years ago, where Robin has volunteered ever since. Kirby lived a life full of adventure whether he was on a beach, swimming in a lake, trotting next to his dad’s bicycle or climbing ring by ring to the top of his chain link fence and hurling himself over the top! Swimming was his favorite sport although he attended many a soccer game to cheer on his “human brother and sister”. 

Kirby lived with dozens of furry foster brothers and sisters, eventually letting Tripod Jaime Lannister and Foxy Zelle join the Zelle clan. Kirby passed away peacefully in his backyard where he was laid to rest. Kirby’s zest for adventure and tremendous persistence at all activities will always bring a smile.
