In Memory of Maggie, formerly Peaches

Dear Save A Dog,

It is with a heavy heart that I share that our baby Maggie (adopted from SaveADog in late November of 2007) passed away on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at 3 PM. She was such a good girl and my best friend. She passed away at 14 and a half years old. She was very loved.
I will miss her so much.

Maggie was a spirited, confident, and independent girl with such a fierce love of life. She loved playing soccer, finding a spot on the pillows higher than everyone else, and tummy rubs. In her younger years, she could keep up with (and even surpass) the big dogs on 8 mile hikes. In her older years, she appreciated a good afternoon (or any time, really) nap. I am glad the pandemic gave us more time to spend with her in her final years. Until the end, she was such a tough and brave little girl, battling and living with debilitating collapsing trachea since she was 5 or 6 years old. She gave us so much, and we are so grateful to her.

I hope she meets her brother Charlie (adopted from SaveADog in December 2001, passed in May of 2015 at 14.5 years old) in doggy heaven and that they can lay together in the sun like they used to.

Rest In Peace, sweet baby girl.
