Our sweet boy, Riggs died peacefully today.  He fought a valiant fight.  Three weeks ago he was diagnosed with hemolytic anemia. He was treated, however, he was unable to beat it.  He left us  today, surrounded with love. 

We will miss our happy, silly, best boy ever!  He woke every day ready for his next adventure, whether the beach in Maine, the park in Ashland, or hanging with friends at home.  What made  Riggs most special was his kind and sweet manner. He didn’t have a mean bone and always welcomed and accepted each new dog joining our pack or staying with us for a short period.  The many members of his pack throughout the years were Oliver, Sandy, Duffy, Teddy, Sammy, Tessie, Gronk, Murphy, and his littermate Mia, who joined us after they had been separated for 8 years!  

Riggs loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He will be missed terribly, but we are at peace knowing he will not experience the inevitable pain this disease would have led to.   Rest In Peace our little prince. 

We have established a fund at Save a Dog in his name to help pay for medical expenses for other dogs.
