In Memory of Tommy

Betsy and Shirley;

We just wanted to share with you the sad news that Tommy passed over on September 25th. It was very peaceful and more importantly, after delaying and delaying, it was time.

We had Betsy Johnson (DVM) come to the house and bring our boy over the rainbow bridge ... He now resides in a place of repose and honor, alongside our Stella ... Rita is still moping a bit, as we are.

We hope Maggie is hanging in there ... we adopted Tommy in February of 2007 so the sadness will linger. We also let Dr. Johnson know that if she felt it wasn't time, to please let us know ... she agreed it was time. He brought us a lot of joy ... Jackie even grilled a Filet Mignon for him the night before !!

Thanks again for letting us adopt Tommy (and Rita !) and for the work all of you at Save A Dog do !

Shirley's note: Tommy was a very special dog to us as he was the brother to our board member, Betsy Athan's dog, Maggie. The two were crazy active puppies and both lived long lives. The Foleys kept in touch over the years and Tommy and Maggie enjoyed many play dates together. The two never forgot each other. The Foleys are a very special family to us, not only for their fellowshp, but for their generous support of our rescue work!
