Since you mentioned your interest in an update on Sheena, here’s the latest.
She is settling in quite nicely. She and Buddy are still getting along just great, he has taken to watching out for her and has even licked her face to help her calm down when she gets skittish over something new.
She’s eating like a pig, and according to Dr. Augusto, she is a very healthy 35lbs. We’ve continued her fish oil and her scratching is better, the vet says it should disappear in about 2-3 more weeks.
She has really taken to our morning runs, in the morning she will go right to the door and wait for me to put on her harness. We went to a harness as opposed to a collar after she slipped it once. She and Buddy run along side of each other, she keeps up easily when we’re trotting. In the woods, Buddy gets to go off leash (Sheena stays leashed) and it’s all I can do to keep up with her when she follows him!
She absolutely loves daycare – after we put her car harness on, she runs to the car door and leaps inside, after we secure her with the seatbelt, she snuggles right into a ball and falls asleep! So much better than Buddy, who still hates car rides L
We can’t thank you enough for thinking of us for Sheena, she is an absolute love and fits into our family like she’s always been with us…she seems to think my side of the bed, in particular my pillow, is the greatest place in the world – and boy does she shed!
Thanks again,
Ellen, Chris and Buddy (and now Sheena)
