I have been meaning to send in the success story for our Holly (originally Megan, adopted 5/28/02)because she is truly a success story. We love her and can't imagine our family without her.

When she came to our family in May 2002, she was rescued from a kennel in West Virginia and had just had pupppies. The volunteer who took care of her had done a great job of helping her to trust people again, although she was still skittish and afraid of men, especially older men. She has since overcome that, although she does bark at people she doesn't know.

She is one happy dog. Holly has some dog friends to play with, and I take her for walks in the park near our house. My sons and daughter, even though they are teenagers, play hide and seek and chase games with her. Strangely, she has no interest in fetching balls although she looks  a lot like a Golden. She also hates the water and won't swim.

Thank you very much for bringing us Holly. Her profile had said she was a "diamond in the rough". Now she is just a diamond with a rrrrruffffff.
