Hi,

I just wanted to update you on Sam, who we adopted from you on May 1, 2009.

Sam is doing great. He became in integral member of the family within days of coming home with us. He's traveled with us to Toronto several times, in the back of our van, and he's met all his canine cousins who live there. Sam loves his daily hour-long walks up and down the hilly roads of Needham. He also loves to play fetch, of course and has a MAJOR obsession with tennis balls! We have several nicknames for him, but his main nickname is "Shmoo", which is derived from the Hebrew name Shmoo-el (Samuel).

We've also trained him to retrieve the morning newspapers from our front lawn every morning:
