Feli passed away last year, but I just had to include this update about her. Feli was a "country bumpkin" when she arrived and was completely unsocialized with humans. This is not good if you're a German Shepherd, but her adopter, Sarah, was not going to give up on her. She lived in the city and socialized her every day and worked with her. She blossomed into the nicest dog you could ever imagine and lived to a ripe age. She was one of the most adored dogs we've ever placed. -shirley

Hi!
Feli is still putting a smile on her face and one paw in front of the other, even if the latter now often with difficulty. We teamed up in April 2004, she was nine years old then, so she is about fourteen now.
Thanks to our terrific vets, Dr Suzy Starr of Paws in Motion >pawsinmotionvet.com< and Dr Jane O'Donnell of Winterhill Vet Clinic in Somerville. Feli receives acupuncture every two or three weeks from Dr Starr.
And thanks to all of you who helped her at some point in her life. Never forgotten.
Her furry pack is now her 'boy toy', young border terrier mix Chip, and currently seven kitties. She helped nurse Chip back to health during the eight months it took after he was found with a badly broken leg. Sadly, her beloved friend 'Copter Kitty passed away in June, probably at a biblical age. They had snuggled together for the two years we were blessed with the wise soul 'Copter brightening our lives.
We are grateful.
Happy New Year!
Sarah
