Grace, DOB: 10/18/25 Female Golden Retriever Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Update: Grace was recently adopted, but quickly returned as she guards toys and other objects of value to her. She will need a very experienced adopter who can work with her under the supervision of a trainer. That said, she spent the weekend with one of our experienced volunteers and there were no issues. In the right home she will flourish. She loves to chase a ball and plays well with other dogs. Julien is her best bud. Grace is a 10 month old white Golden Retriever, often called an English Golden Retriever. She was relinquished by her owner who did not disclose her behaviors.. We're looking for a local, holistic-practicing adopter due to the breed being susceptible to cancer. A fresh food diet, avoiding certain vaccines and toxic flea/tick preventives would be best to ensure a long and healthy life for her and we're happy to advise on that for the life of the dog. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and the adoption team will get right back to you. Last Modified: 9/25/2026 5:17:09 AM EST Printable Description

JULIEN, ~ 1.5 years Male Rat Terrier / Min Pin or Manchester Click on picture to enlarge Adopted I’m Julien, a 1.5-year-old Rat Terrier mix, but I'm bigger so possibly mixed with Manchester Terrier. I weigh about 23 pounds. I love to play fetch! I was rescued in Louisiana, and the shelter down there says I’m friendly and funny and curious about everything! I’m smart and like to learn new things, and I love being wherever the action is. I would do best in a home where I can play. I'm not one to sit home in a crate with a dog walker. I would love doggy daycare, though. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and the adoption team will get right back to you. Available NOW! Marigold, ~ 9 months Female Hound  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Adopted Marigold is a DOLL BABY! This sweet girl was rescued in Louisiana where there are many homeless dogs. She's calm and likes to hang out with the other dogs in the shelter. She seems to be a hound mix but is not a huge sniffer. She walks well on leash. Marigold is truly gold, personality-wise, a snuggle bug who loves belly rubs. Over the weekend she hung out in the meet and greet room while we did an orientation in there and she just wanted to be snuggled with, or was curious and would gently knock over the bin of toys and take one to play with. She would gently take the chuck-it away from the volunteer and then rolled over as if she wanted him to pet her with it. She's gentle, loving, and confident in the sense of loves everyone.  Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and the adoption team will get right back to you.
